Hey girl! {I Heart Faces Photo Challenge}

It’s May already, can you believe it?  I would venture to say that the month of May is busier than November and December combined!  With end of school year activities, graduations, ball games, dance recitals, Mother’s Day, planning a friend’s wedding, and trying to squeeze in a few photo sessions… whew!  I’m exhausted just thinking about it, and we only have 1 child!  I feel for all of you with more than 1 kiddo.  Props to you… I surely don’t know how you do it!

This month’s I heart faces photo challenge is called “Hey Girl”.  I love it!  And what more perfect theme for me, since I have a beautiful girly-girl to photograph.  I am loving this evening sun, hazy flare, the bokeh is phenom, and I just love her quirky little expression here.  I even love the fact that her whispy, messy hair is in her eyes (thanks to windy days in Oklahoma!) … but this simply proves to me that sometimes the imperfect can be perfect just the way it is!

Be sure to check out www.iheartfaces.com for all the other amazing girly entries!  I am especially excited because the judges for this month’s challenge are the lovely and talented duo Zach and Jody Gray, whom I absolutely adore and am truly inspired.  They are an amazing husband and wife team who love the Lord, and share their faith, knowledge, and experience so willingly with the rest of the photography world.  Besides, they are just so dang cute! :)  I sure wish they would come to Oklahoma… I would love to meet them and attend one of their workshops one day!  Saving my pennies!!
