FCA 5K Run/Walk 2017 | Durant, OK

Last weekend, the Southeast Oklahoma chapter of Fellowship of Christian Athletes hosted its inaugural 5K run/walk in Durant, OK.  While I typically don’t photograph sporting events, I was honored to be able to document this great cause.  A rainy, cool start to the morning greeted runners as they picked up registrations, but as the morning progressed the runners were blessed with no rain!  Here are my highlights from the day. Enjoy!

Proceeds from this event help to support our local FCA serving student-athletes as they grow in their faith both on and off the playing field.

The race could not have been possible without our sponsors.  Thank you to the following for making this run a reality: Landmark Bank | First Texoma National Bank | Taco Mayo | Taco Casa | Rhynes & Rhodes | Red River Ford | Country Kitchen | Edward Jones | Kenny Mossman | Hot Shots Coffee | Marie’s | Corner Drug | Greg Phillips State Farm

RUNNERS: please contact our local FCA office to inquire how you can download a copy of your favorite photos.

Fight. Finish. Faith.

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. ~2 Timothy 4:7

Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ. Then, whether I come and see you or only hear about you in my absence, I will know that you stand firm in the one Spirit, striving together as one for the faith of the gospel. ~Philippians 1:27

Until next time, be a Blessing!

Back to School 2014 {Oklahoma Childrens Photographer}

I can’t believe I have a FOURTH grader!  Time is slipping right through my fingers!  One of these days she’s not going to let me have fun like this so I’m taking advantage of it while I can! :)  My sweet friend Katy of Life Captured by Katy and I got together with our girls a few weeks ago at a local bus barn for this fun session!  We just had to pay the girls in ICE CREAM, but I think we got off fairly cheap for the cute photos we came out with!  Be sure to stay up to date with my latest sessions on my Facebook page!  I’m heading into the busy fall season and am jam packed with SENIOR sessions!  Woohoo!!

Until next time!

Be a Blessing,

Missy

Back to School 2013 {Oklahoma Children’s Photographer}

Wanted to share some favorite back to school pictures from a few weeks ago.  My friend Jessica and I planned this for our sweet girls.  We had so much fun getting out all these fun props!  The girls did great!  Well, until the mosquitos started biting! :)  Love these girls to pieces!

Until next time!

Be a Blessing,

Missy :)

My little Valentine {Oklahoma Children’s Photographer}

Really had no plans to do Valentine sessions this year, as I am focusing my time during these slow months on the “business” side of my photography.  Marketing, taxes, branding, networking, cultivating partnerships, researching workshops… you know the usual fun stuff that goes on “behind the scenes”.  These things take a lot of time but are very necessary to help any business grow.  And since I am still working full time, I just didn’t have time to offer valentine sessions this year.  But stay tuned, spring is coming!  :)

I wasn’t even going to do this session with my daughter, but then I realized that she is growing up so fast and I wanted to have these memories of her at 8 years old looking so grown up.  I didn’t think too much about what I was going to do for props, so I just pulled together a few things I had around the house, painted a sign and hung a few glittery hearts in a wooded area on our property.  It only took about 30 minutes and we were done! That’s about all she lasted! :)   It turned out to be one of my favorite photo shoots with her.

Stay tuned for upcoming spring sessions! Can’t wait for warmer weather and longer daylight hours! :)

Until next time!

Be a Blessing,

Missy
